Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing expert advice on the selection and administration of pharmaceutical products, and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Dispensing Medications: Accurately and safely dispense prescription medications to patients in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Patient Counseling: Provide expert advice and information to patients about their medications, including proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions with other drugs.

  • Medication Reviews: Conduct thorough medication reviews for patients, identifying any potential issues such as drug interactions, allergies, or incorrect dosages. Recommend alternative treatments or adjustments as necessary.

  • Clinical Support: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to multidisciplinary patient care.

  • Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, order pharmaceuticals, and ensure that medications are stored correctly in compliance with all regulatory standards.

  • Prescription Validation: Check prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and appropriateness, ensuring the prescribed treatment aligns with clinical guidelines.

  • Patient Safety: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, adhering to health and safety policies to ensure the highest level of patient safety.

  • Health Promotion: Provide advice on preventative health measures, lifestyle changes, and the management of long-term conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with UK pharmacy laws, including the Medicines Act 1968, the Health and Social Care Act 2008, and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards.

  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay up to date with new medications, treatments, and pharmaceutical techniques. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

  • Pharmacy Expertise: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, their uses, contraindications, side effects, and drug interactions.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualifications:

    • Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree from an accredited university.
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK.
  • Experience:
