Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to multidisciplinary patient care.

Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, order pharmaceuticals, and ensure that medications are stored correctly in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Prescription Validation: Check prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and appropriateness, ensuring the prescribed treatment aligns with clinical guidelines.

Patient Safety: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, adhering to health and safety policies to ensure the highest level of patient safety.

Health Promotion: Provide advice on preventative health measures, lifestyle changes, and the management of long-term conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with UK pharmacy laws, including the Medicines Act 1968, the Health and Social Care Act 2008, and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards.

Continuous Professional Development: Stay up to date with new medications, treatments, and pharmaceutical techniques. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Experience and Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree from an accredited university.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK.
